You can do this by applying a series of tests to your answer:

• The 'reasonable test'
• Performing the calculation (non-calculator)
• Performing the calculation (calculator)
• Checking the BNF or BNF for Children

And remember, if in doubt, check your answer with someone else before administering the drug!
